Description Sea turtles are among the world's most popular and charismatic species, yet the public remains unaware of their presence in California, let alone along the western states all the way up to Alaska. This 1-day virtual workshop will feature the top biologists in West Coast sea turtle conservation and biology, and will address regulation, data collection, population structure, and the recent listing of the leatherback sea turtle.

We understand that some of our members are being hit hard financially as a result of the pandemic. As such, until the end of 2021, the Western Section and generous donors are offering free or discounted TWS-WS membership to those who are facing financial hardship due to Covid-19. We ask that members pay their dues on the honor system at the rate they feel comfortable paying — either no cost, 50% discount or full cost.

Please note, we are counting more than ever on full-cost renewals from those who have been fortunate enough to not be financially affected by Covid19 in order to maintain the financial health of the Western Section. Also, for those who are feeling secure enough to do so, consider making the jump to life member right now to support the Section during this difficult time. Donations to support affected members are also appreciated.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Cancellation and Refund Policy: To receive a refund of workshop registration fees, we must receive your cancellation no later than 14 business days before the first day of the event. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather, Federal budget issues, furloughs or other events beyond the control of TWS-West. All refunds are subject to a $20 processing fee. However, registration may be transferred to another individual for a $10 transfer fee.

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing, either by mail or e-mail. Refund requests received within 14 business days of the start of the workshop will not be processed regardless of personal or professional emergency, and no refund after that date is available.
